The sport of figure skating can be a lot to take in sometimes, especially for parents who are balancing family life in the midst of their kid’s excitement. When so much information is coming from so many different sources it can interfere with the best interest of our kids. In many cases coaches, other parents and even skaters can play a part in the confusion.

how does figure skating work?

Testing is the common core of figure skating. Every athlete in every discipline must take tests, the foundation and building blocks to develop strong skating skills, to move throughout the pipeline of figure skating.
